Twitter Sued by Ex Employee

Former workers who claim they were not given sufficient notice that they had lost their jobs as required by US federal law after being locked out of their work accounts on Thursday have filed a class action complaint against Twitter.

However, a lawsuit was filed in the US federal court in San Francisco seeking orders for Twitter to comply with the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which requires 60 days notice for mass layoffs at large employers, and may put a stop to Musk’s plans to fire up to 3,700 employees.

According to the lawsuit, which has been filed on behalf of five Twitter employees so far, one was let go on November 1 while the other three weren’t notified at the time of filing but had their email accounts disabled.
