A kid was discovered dead inside a stolen automobile after the child’s father was shot and murdered in Houston on Tuesday, according to authorities.

At about 1:46 p.m. on Tuesday, the Houston Police Department received a 911 call reporting a gunshot between El Camino Rey Del Rey Street and Chimney Rock Road. Officers arrived to find a 38-year-old guy who had been shot to death, according to Satterwhite.

Investigators suspect the victim was there to meet with another guy when an altercation occurred. According to Satterwhite, the second individual pulled out a revolver and shot the victim many times before snatching his black SUV and fled the scene.

A lady contacted 911 that evening, at 6:36 p.m. local time, to report her husband and 2-year-old kid missing. Because of the exact details she supplied, investigators quickly determined that the gunshot victim was her husband.

The stolen SUV, which contained the little kid, was discovered on Elm Street, more than ten miles from the gunshot location. According to Satterwhite, officers busted the windows of the locked car to get to the youngster, then promptly attempted to provide help and phoned for an ambulance.
