Based on the well-known arcade game of the same name developed by Bandai Namco in 2022, Pac-Man is an American computer animated comedy movie.
Travis Knight directed and Genndy Tartakovsky wrote the movie, which is released by Sony Pictures Releasing and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Bandai Namco Studios. Jesse Eisenberg, Elizabeth Banks, Nancy Cartwright, Ian McShane, JK Simmons, Sebastian Maniscalco, Seth Rogen, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Keegan Michael Key all lend their voices to the movie.
The movie follows Pac-Man, a retired ghost hunter who now works as a programmer and lives in Pactropolis, as he competes against time with his family and grandfather to stop the ghost army from destroying the planet.
On September 16, 2022, Pac-Man was released in the US and Canada. Its animation, narrative, and voice acting garnered largely positive reviews. Its $430 million global box office haul places it as the second-highest-grossing animated movie of 2022. A follow-up is also being developed.
