Samsung recently unveiled the fold four and the flip four as two new additions to their line of foldable electronics. I had the chance to spend some time with both of these gadgets last week, and they’ve undergone some intriguing changes.

I don’t think it affects content too much it’s more just for the overall usability of the phone like when you’re watching content in the normal unfolded state you’re gonna get a slightly bigger image on the fold 4 versus the fold 3 but if you rotate it and you’re watching it in like full screen it’s actually a little bit smaller on the fold four than the fold three just because the difference in aspect ratio but again i don’t think it’s so much about the content viewing changes, it’s more about the overall usability of having a little more width on that screen.

Additionally, whenever I use the front screen, a wider screen always feels nicer to me than the extremely narrow screens of the fold devices. In terms of the crease, however, I was surprised by its prominence. The folds one and two were fairly obvious, and the fold three dipped down a little bit, but when I saw this PR, I felt like the extra width was better to me than the super narrow screens of the fold devices.

The fold 4 has an upgraded version of this camera that is mounted underneath the display. What makes it better is the pixel density of the screen that is mounted on top of that camera. These things work by turning these pixels on and off depending on whether the camera is in use, and this year it is much less noticeable. If you compare it to the fold 3 from last year, the artifacting was more noticeable this year, but I feel like other improvements could be made.

But you can pop off that kick stand part and you can attach a holder for the s pen and itseems so simple but when i saw this ijust the functionality of it seemedawesome and it just seemed like something i would want to use so i had to show it to you guys so the fold 4 comes in a few colors this year the color that really sticks out to me is this gray green color i think it looksreally nice, but i’m a sucker for gray things.

Okay the flip four so this also comes in a few more colors this year there’s a purple color and a nice blue color which i thought was kind of cool the fingerprint sensor so there were some rumors about how it would be an under display fingerprint sensor on the flipfloor it’s not it’s still mounted on theside the hinge though has supposedly changed it’s now a significantly smaller hinge mechanism now on these flip devices most of the hinge is like hidden behind the device itself it’s only a portion of it that’s exposed but it’s supposed to be like six millimeters shorter and i don’t think the aesthetics of it has changed when you open and close the device it doesn’t seem like it’s a visually obvious change.
