Reactions To LeBron James Lawsuit News In The Sports World

LeBron James has stepped out into the world of media many times during the time of his professional basketball career.

The Los Angeles Lakers star is currently in the middle of a lawsuit over some of his work however.

In The New York Post, LeBron and Drake are facing lawsuits for their documentary on Black Hockey players.

“Hoops stars LeBron James and rappers Drake and Future are charged in a brand new $10 million lawsuit for taking the “intellectual rights” to a moviecalled “Black Ice” that tells the story of the former, segregated basketball league that was for African-American athletes from Canada, The Post has discovered,” the New York Post report.

“Billy Hunter, a former long-time director of the NBA Players Association and ex-federal prosecutor is seeking a portion of the profits made from the documentary along with damages of $10 million, in a frenzied lawsuit filed in the Manhattan the state Supreme Court that alleges he is the only person legally entitled to create any documentary on the Colored Hockey League that existed from 1895 until the 1930s.”

Fans of sports have been on social media to voice their opinions.

“ESPN had a fantastic “Black Ice” documentary in the 90s ‘…” one fan wrote.

“He has to take action against the creators. What is the best way to have an argument for LeBron or Drake,” one fan said.

LeBron along with Drake have collaborated on some noteworthy projects recently in addition.

It will be interesting to see how the case plays out.
